Twenty-five Finnish students have visited the Palace Hall, this Thursday, April 12.
The students participate in an exchange with the IES Alfonso X El Sabio (Murcia).
The students have been received at the Town Hall by the Councilor for Culture, Education and Youth of the City of Cartagena, David Martínez, who has welcomed them to the city.
The mayor, after taking a souvenir photograph with them on the main staircase of the Hall of the City Council, has led them to the Plenary Hall, there he explained that Cartagena is a city with more than 3,000 years of history and has listed the monuments most important of the city as: the Roman Theater, the Forum Quarter, the Punic Wall or the same modernist building in which they were.
Martinez also told them about the function of the Plenary Hall and the different Cartagena shields that can be seen in it.
The boys are between 17 and 18 years old, come from the Finnish city of Kotka and will be during 15 days of exchange in the region of Murcia.
After knowing the city, the students will also visit the coastal town of Cabo de Palos.
In this regard, Martinez has encouraged the children to enjoy the good climate and the cuisine of Cartagena, as the typical cauldron.
