In response to the demands of the residents of San Antón, the City of Cartagena has carried out the integral repair of the wall and stairs of Recoletos and Sagrada Familia streets.
The Decentralization councilor, Juan Pedro Torralba, explained that the works have involved a total investment of 53,593.59 euros.
"Our priority was to solve a very serious problem that neighbors in the area had, due to the risk of collapse that this wall presented.
The works have made special impact both on the retaining walls and on the stairs that give access to the homes of many residents and who were in very bad conditions, "said Torralba.
In particular, new ventilation holes in the walls have been chopped, cleaned, cleaned and opened, while a new waterproof coating has been applied to ensure their conservation.
As for the stairs, the rungs that had been damaged have been replaced and the handrails have been repaired, thus guaranteeing safety.
