The Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) will host between April 12 and 15 the second edition of the SWYP congress (Students, Women in Engineering and Young Professionals), which brings together eighty students, women engineers and young professionals from all over Spain.
The congress is an annual event of the IEEE (the largest non-profit international technical-professional association whose objective is the promotion of technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity), which this year has organized the branch of the university of Cartagena and that has the collaboration of the Office of Congresses of the City of Cartagena, which manages Cartagena Port of Cultures.
During the four days of the congress attendees can enjoy presentations on underwater robotics, industrial digitalization, 4.0 technologies at sea, and entrepreneurship on IoT (the Internet of things), among other papers.
In addition, the students will combine the talks with a program of social, cultural and sports activities in Cartagena.
The first edition of the National Congress of Students, Women in Engineering and Youg Professionals (SWYP) was held in Granada last year, where the branch of the University of Cartagena was chosen as the organizer of SWYP 2018.
