Francisco Martínez Alderman of Cartagena Sí Se Puede (CTSSP) affirms that the socialist municipal government of the PSOE gives one more sample of disability, in this case it is manifest its inability to elaborate a proposal of the General Regulation of the Taxi, adapted to Law 10/2014 of the Region of Murcia and take it to the plenary session for approval.

Councilman adds: on December 22, 2015, the term granted by the law to municipalities to adapt their ordinances to the norm expired, without the previous PSOE-MC coalition government and the current PSOE government having been able to obey the law.

For the Councilman of Podemos, the situation of current uncertainty is unsustainable because the current ordinance does not adapt to the law, generating helplessness and insecurity for officials, users and taxi drivers.

For Francisco Martínez it is necessary to regulate a public service that adapts to the current social situation and at the same time improves the service provided to users throughout the municipality and is respectful of the environment.

CTSSP considers that the taxi sector has been going through a delicate situation for a long time that needs to be taken into account.

For all these reasons, the mayor is going to present a battery of questions in the next plenary session with the purpose of the PSOE Government to prepare and present in the plenary the new ordinance, it is known if the adapted taxis meet the number and conditions of the regulations current, as well as the number and variation of the number of licenses, the process of transmission of the same, and the number of ecological taxis in the municipality.
