The Plaza del Ayuntamiento de Cartagena was overflowing with blue shirts on Sunday, April 8, before beginning the II Astrade Route, a six-kilometer march for the inclusion of people with autism.
The route celebrated its second edition in which the participation expectations of 1,500 participants were met, which formed a great 'Blue Tide'.
The organization was run by the association for the care of people with autism and other pervasive developmental disorders in the region of Murcia (Astrade), CD Manzanicos and the Department of Sports of the City of Cartagena, whose councilor, Obdulia Gómez, was accompanying to the participants.
The event left the Plaza del Ayuntamiento at 10:00 am and concluded at the Plaza del Rey with different activities.
The 'Blue Tide' tries to awaken solidarity with people who suffer from this neurobiological disorder of development.
One of every sixty-eight births will today be people who will live their entire lives with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
To a greater or lesser extent, they will need support for their social inclusion.
