The marimba protagonist of the final of percussion of Entre cuerdas y metales (06/04/2018)

During the afternoon of Thursday, April 5, the final of the percussion mode of the XXI edition of Entre Cuerdas y Metales was developed.

The eight contestants, who had passed to the final, performed works by: Keiko Abe, Michell Peters, Emiko Uchiyama, NJ Zivkovic and Alice Gomez.

The great protagonist was the marimba, except one contestant who defended his work with the vibraphone.

In the second phase of this modality the demand was that the free works should be interpreted in sheets.

The jury consisted of: Julián Cantos García, Susana Cerezuela Viseras and Alberto Rodríguez Pérez.

The prizes will be made public at the Closing Ceremony and Award Ceremony that will take place at the El Batel Municipal Auditorium on May 4, starting at 8:00 p.m.

Precisely, the closing will feature the participation of Ángel Rodríguez García, first prize in the percussion mode of the previous edition of the Entre Cuerdas y Metales competition.

Rodríguez will perform, together with the Chamber Orchestra of Cartagena, the Concerto for Marimba and String Orchestra by Mateo Soto, among many other performances.
