One day after the algid day of the Spring Festival of Murcia, Cartagena receives the Queen of the Huerta and his court, which this year, have come accompanied by the mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta and the president of the Federation of Peñas Huertanas de Murcia, Juan Pablo Hernández.
The reception has taken place in the Palace Hall, where the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, has completed the commission coming from Murcia.
In the emblematic setting of the Plenary Hall, the mayor thanked the Queen of the Huerta, the president of the Peñas Huertanas Federation and the mayor of Murcia, who have made their place in their agendas, these holidays, to visit the city of Cartagena.
In the same way, Castejón has shown a conciliatory spirit and has encouraged collaboration between the parties of the two main cities of the Region.
For his part, the Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, has used this occasion to call for unity and collaboration, especially "in these times in which many people are interested in marking differences and feel superior", has stressed Ballesta.
In addition, he said that these actions should set an example to the rest of society, overcoming everything that separates or divides citizens.
The president of the Federation of Peñas Huertanas, Juan Pablo Hernández, thanked for his part the support of the City of Cartagena in the dissemination of the Spring Festival.
