The Alternative Free Time (T-LA) program of this quarter hosts a total of 94 activities that young people between 14 and 35 years old can enjoy.
To make this ambitious programming, a total of 28 associations have participated and a budget of 10,000 euros has been allocated.
The activities were presented this Wednesday, April 4, by the councilor for culture, David Martínez, and José María Lloret, technician of the municipal consistory.
Among the activities scheduled for the spring T-LA, the mayor, has highlighted the trips and excursions to Sierra Nevada, to close the ski tamporada;
the Oasis Minihollywood Theme Park of Almeria;
the excursion to the Canelobre Caves in Busot, an expedition that includes a visit to the Pérez chocolate factory;
and the trip to Cantabria, which is scheduled for the week of July 8 to 13.
David Martínez explained that, due to the high level of participation enjoyed by the mystery challenges in previous quarters, this time they have been programmed, in collaboration with the Enigroom Escape, Insitu and Mysterium halls, some new challenges, in which Participants must solve the mysteries in 60 minutes.
The Councilor for Culture has also outlined the novelties that have been included for the spring quarter, such as the Youth Resource Nights, in which you can enjoy free activities until 12 at night.
In addition, there are programmed cooking, capoeira and photography workshops, as well as a new contest for the promotion of the performing arts, in which participants can present a 3 to 5 minute video of a small format show that later will be voted on social networks.
Also, the VI Salón del Manga de Cartagena, the Music Festival, which will be held on Saturday, June 16, and the tenth edition of the Night of the Museums, are other activities that T-LA will develop in spring the next few months.
For his part, José María Lloret, wanted to highlight the importance of the free nature of most of the programmed activities, and encouraged all young Cartagena to participate in these sports, recreational and cultural activities.
WINTER T-LA VALORATION
The T-LA of this winter 2018 developed 90 activities, for which a total of 10,000 euros were invested and in whose organization it had the support of 25 associations.
The previous quarter, 3,118 people participated in the activities that made up the program, of which 719 correspond to the activities of January, 1190 to February and 698 to March, in addition to the 157 young people who have participated in the activities in the snow, 312 in the workshops and training courses and 42 in cooking workshops.
The leading activities in participation have been trips to Sierra Nevada, City of Arts, Seville and Granada;
adventure and sports activities of hiking and via ferrata;
the workshops of photography, initiation to management and cooking;
the Nights of Astronomy and the challenge "Carthago Escape Room".
