Sports and solidarity will be held next Sunday, April 8, at the Sports Palace of Cartagena, where the I Solidarity, Friendly and Inclusive Badminton Circuit will take place, the benefit of which will go to the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC).
The sporting event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and has been organized by the Badminton Club of Cartagena with the collaboration of the Department of Sports of the City of Cartagena.
The presentation was made this morning by the mayor of Deportes, Obdulia Gómez;
along with Pablo Caparrós, who has come on behalf of the Badminton Club of Cartagena;
and Nazarena Balanguer, of the Spanish Association Against Cancer.
The mayor explained that there will be two categories;
gold, for the middle level;
and silver, for those who are going to start, which in turn will be divided into individual masculine and feminine modalities, as well as unified doubles.
For his part, Pablo Caparrós stressed that it is not necessary to have a high level to attend the tests and that the club will provide rackets to people who do not have them, while at the same time he has stated that the registrations can be made through the QR code that appears on the posters and on the page www.badmintoncartagena.es/circuito-solidario-amistoso/.
He also indicated that the price of registration will be 5 euros in the case of playing in a single mode and 8 euros to compete in both singles and doubles, and stressed that all benefits go to the AECC.
Nazarena Balanguer has reported that this year the balance for the AECC has been very good in terms of collaboration and has anticipated that a good part of the benefits will go to sick people who are either alone or do not have sufficient financial resources You need to face a disease.
