The projects that were approved in this year's edition of the Participatory Budgets are already being drafted.
The technicians of Municipal Services, along with the councilor Juan Pedro Torralba, are visiting the districts and councils where the approved proposals have been voted, with the intention of adapting the spaces and checking the availability, as well as beginning to request the necessary permits for each one of the works.
As explained by the mayor, "the procedures are being streamlined to the maximum and once the drafting is completed, they will be taken back to the districts and councils to present and agree with the neighbors each one of the projects.
By the time the municipal budget is approved, they will be hired. "
The mayor also stressed that the meeting that took place today has been produced in a very good atmosphere by all the members of the Commission, between the different political groups and the Federation of Neighborhood Associations (FAVCAC), and this is reflected in the minutes.
IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE 2019 EDITION
As for next year's project, it has been agreed to launch a calendar, which will start the first week of May, as well as to collect proposals to try to improve the procedure and make it more fair.
"With these improvements, what we intend is to avoid that the votes become a competition and that each new edition is aimed at covering needs and needs, regardless of the population of each location," said Torralba.
The councilor's idea is that in October of this year they can already have a list of proposals and their value, which will allow adjusting the budget to the works and not the other way around.
