The Autonomous Community has assumed the restoration of the founding shroud of the Royal and Illustrious Brotherhood of Our Father Jesus Resurrected, which has been carried out in a specialized workshop on the recommendation of the Restoration Center of the Region of Murcia and whose cost has exceeded 5,000 euros
The shroud, dating from 1947, will be exposed this Holy Week at the headquarters of the Brotherhood, which this year commemorates the 75th anniversary of its founding.
The counselor of Transparency, Participation and Spokesperson, Noelia Arroyo, highlighted "the firm commitment of the Government of Fernando López Miras with the Holy Week of Cartagena", as well as the importance of "artistic support of the Autonomous Community to guarantee all the splendor of the museum in the open air in which the city becomes during the days of Passion ".
Noelia Arroyo, who has been named godmother of the Portapasos Gentlemen of the Gathering Our Father Jesus Resuscitated, holder of the Brotherhood, was "very excited" to be able to process this Easter Sunday through the streets of Cartagena.
