The councilor of MC Cartagena, Ricardo Segado, in his capacity as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Carmen Conde Antonio Oliver, has sent a letter to the secretary of said institution, Paloma Rodríguez, to request that the proposal made by the Board be studied and analyzed. edil of the cartagenerista formation in the past municipal Plenum, by means of which the transfer of the Patronato to the building of the Graduated is required.
In this way, Segado has transmitted the request that this matter be included in the convening of the next Ordinary Council with the aim of converting the Board Carmen Conde Antonio Oliver "in reference and germ of the future Museum of the Teaching of Cartagena".
Space linked to the history of local culture
The initiative, which was approved by most of the groups, has among its purposes the creation of a space linked to the history of local culture.
Likewise, the motion acknowledged that the Carmen Conde Antonio Oliver Board is currently decontextualized and compartmentalized, so its transfer to Las Graduadas would also serve to dignify this building.
It should also be noted that this change in location, as reflected in the body of the motion, would be made by taking the furniture of the nineteenth century of the old
Main Street pharmacy to the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center, where the headquarters of the Board is currently located.
Board of Trustees Carmen Conde Antonio Oliver
This institution is responsible for guarding the legacy of the Cartagena poets Carmen Conde and Antonio Oliver, outstanding figures of twentieth-century Spanish literature.
Despite living out of Cartagena for many years, Conde and Oliver gave their important inheritance to the city, deposited in the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center, where they can visit now and know, among others, part of their personal archive, their library and his personal belongings.
