The Ninth EFESÉ Cartagena Holy Week Tournament, which will take place next Saturday, March 31, in the sports city Gómez Meseguer of the Cabezo Beaza polygon, according to the Councilor for Sports, Obdulia Gómez, on Tuesday, March 27.
Next to her, the sports director of the Club Cartagena Efesé, Leo Gómez, and the general director of Sports of the Region of Murcia, Alonso Gómez, were present.
The sporting event will gather some 360 ​​athletes from the Prebenjamín and Benjamín 8 categories of up to 24 teams from all over the Spanish geography, such as Málaga CF, Elche CF, Real Murcia or Villa Real CF. The day will start with matches from 12:00 noon, with a stoppage for lunch, and continue until 7:00 pm;
moment in which it will end with the trophy ceremony.
This trophy is educational and supportive because, as reported by the Councilor for Sports, all participants will provide non-perishable food that will be delivered to Cáritas.
The sports director of the Club Cartagena Efesé said during the press conference that an important presence of fans of this sport is expected, which every year, is usually around 1,500 spectators.
For his part, the general director of Sports of the Region took the opportunity to thank the Sports Department of the City of Cartagena for their collaboration and efforts to promote sport within the municipality.
