The film 'Cartagena and its Holy Week 1976-1977' is being broadcast these days through the newspaper La Verdad on its digital channels.
The Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena has collaborated in the restoration of this 8mm film as part of the recovery program 'Memories Celluloid'.
The film is already spreading in daily fragments through the portal of La Verdad.
In the film appear shots of the city of Cartagena in 1976 and 1977. The viewer will appreciate in these images how the city and its processions have changed.
Last Sunday, March 25, a small fragment of 4 minutes with the procession of the Burrica on Palm Sunday was posted on the website of La Verdad.
Previously, on Friday of Dolores, scenes of the procession of Cristo del Socorro and of the Floral Offering could be seen.
All these recordings belong to Domingo López and have been restored by the Asociación Mirrorvisor.
In addition, Sergio Martinez and the YouTube channel 'Marches Semana Santa Cartagena' have collaborated.
On Holy Tuesday there will be images of the procession of the movements of the apostles (Santiago, San Pedro and San Juan).
On Holy Wednesday there will be a fragment of the Drama of Praetorium or Lavatorio de Pilatos, parades of the grenadiers and the Roman soldiers and the procession of the Prendimiento.
On Holy Thursday will be the procession of the Silence and the Christ of the Miners;
on Good Friday, those of the Encuentro and Santo Entierro;
on Holy Saturday, that of Vera Cruz;
and, finally, on Resurrection Sunday, the parade of the Risen Christ.
