The action would result in an undoubted benefit for the residents of both localities that share an outstanding number of local and regional municipal services, as well as activities in economic development of the agrarian and industrial sector.
More than ten thousand people are grouped between the two population centers, distant from each other by just 2.5 kilometers.
Respect and dignification
The Plenary has continued with the argument of Ricardo Segado (MC Cartagena), to urge the local government, and more specifically the Youth Council, to include in the Budget 2018 a nominative departure for the creation of a new program in This Department, aimed at the creation of a teaching program of the history of Cartagena in secondary education centers.
The initiative has been rejected by PSOE and PP, with the abstention of Cartagena Sí Se Puede and Ciudadanos.

In the same way, and foreseeing possible problems of space, it has been requested to recover the project initiated by the MC Government to dignify the Las Graduadas building, moving the Carmen Conde Foundation to this site in order to create a museum linked to the teaching and Cartagena writers in that space.
