Today Friday March 16 has taken possession in the presence of the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, as Auditor General of the City of Cartagena, Jesus Ortuño Sánchez, who until now served the same function in the Consistory of San Javier.
The task of the municipal auditor is to observe and control the City Council's expenses in a neutral manner.
Jesus Ortuño, 44, was born in Orihuela on November 24, 1973. He is currently married and has a three-year-old son.
The new auditor is a graduate in Political Science and Law and has worked as an auditor, as well as in San Javier, in the municipalities of Moratalla and La Unión.
After the inauguration, Ortuño has chaired the Finance Committee that was held at 11:00 am in the Administrative Building of San Miguel.
