Ctssp will denounce in the March plenary, as did Sierra Minera Foundation before the General Directorate of Cultural Assets, the prohibition of a public visit of the mining facilities of La Parreta, BIC Sierra Minera, by EMASA Empresa Constructora SA
The La Parreta mining complex, close to Alumbres, is one of the protected areas as an Asset of Cultural Interest.
The declaration of BIC, in its article 8, obliges the owners of the facilities of the mining complex of La Parreta, not only to "conserve them, guard them and protect them to ensure their integrity and prevent their destruction or deterioration", but also to "facilitate the public visit to the assets of the mining patrimony that are under their tutelage, at least four days a month ".
"In the motion we will insist that the municipal government urge the General Directorate of Cultural Property to enforce the Cultural Heritage Law to the owners of the BIC of the mining complex of La Parreta, and we will request that the owners of this mining complex provide the public visit to the citizenship, at least four days a month, and that in case of non-compliance, the sanctioning mechanisms that the legislation itself contemplates are put into effect, "said Pilar Marcos, who will present the motion at the next Plenary.
CTSSP will also request a "Signaling Plan" to identify the protected mining facilities, which it considers necessary for the knowledge, enhancement and dissemination of our heritage.
