The Councilor for Education, David Martinez, has received on Wednesday, March 14, the nine students from Germany who are doing a cultural exchange with students of second of ESO of the IES Jiménez de la Espada.
At the meeting, the councilor has welcomed these students and told them about the history, culture and places of Cartagena that will visit during these days.
These students come from the school Herderschule, located in the town of Rendsburg, northern Germany and will be accommodated until next Monday, March 29 at the homes of other students from Cartagena who, in June, will also visit the German country.
This is the first exchange that takes place with Germany in the IES Jiménez de la Espada, since this is the third year that German is being studied as a subject.
During these days, the institute will take these students to know different places of Cartagena, such as the Museum of the Roman Amphitheater, the ARQUA museum or Cala Cortina.
In addition, during the weekend they will participate in a coexistence with their host families to learn and even more about the culture and customs of Spain and Cartagena.
