The Councilor for Culture, David Martinez, presented Wednesday a municipal initiative aimed at strengthening the tourist promotion of the city, the virtual visit to the Palace that will allow to visit each of the rooms of this building, a symbol of Modernism in Cartagena , and, in addition, to be able to do it comfortably from home through a link on the City Council website.
As explained by the mayor, "to make this virtual visit have taken more than 1,200 hours of work by several companies in our municipality, since it has been photographed in 360-degree format, rooms, pictures, and details of its construction as of its decoration, to then unite everything, program it and implement it on the municipal website ".
The images have an explanatory phrase and, in some areas such as the press room, receptions and ceremonies, several promotional videos of the city have been integrated into the screens.
Another of the outstanding features of this visit is that, by clicking on each painting, the visitor will be able to know the history it represents and the biography of the protagonist.
Once inside the course, to the right of the screen, two planes have been integrated so that the virtual visitor knows at every moment where they are, counting on the bottom with a "help button" that indicates all the controls the visit.
The duration of the tour will depend on the visitor, since it can lengthen and reduce it based on their interests.
To conclude, David Martínez pointed out that "this initiative constitutes a pilot experience, since we are studying the possibility of doing it with other municipal spaces or archaeological sites, such as the case of the Municipal Archaeological Museum Enrique Escudero de Castro".
