The Port Authority of Cartagena has launched a project of corporate social responsibility, which is working with the City Council, which involves the collection of ideas that promote the development of the neighborhood to subsequently transform the most viable in projects.

The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, has received Tuesday the president of the Port Authority, Antonio Sevilla, who has informed him of the stage in which the development of the project is.

The councilor stressed that these CSR actions will not only contribute to the prosperity of the city and the port, but also to the most disadvantaged neighborhoods.

Sevilla has pointed out that these actions will not be developed "only by deontology", but also because the Barrio de Santa Lucia "is part of our port soul," he added.

The president said that this project has called a group of people working in the vicinity of Santa Lucia to develop a series of ideas "that favor the development and evolution of the neighborhood."

He also indicated that later the most viable ideas will be selected to turn them into projects.

"There is a foundation that collaborates with the port and that will transform the ideas into projects endowing them with viability", he explained, at the same time that it has qualified that aspects such as the people who will be able to participate in it, the scope, the implications and how they will influence society.

He also explained that the framework of action on which these ideas will be developed is marked within the groggraphic area of ​​Santiago al Pinacho, passing through the Church of Santa Lucia, later by the Museum of Glass and finally back to Santiago.

To see which ideas are the most viable, we will consult the university, the neighbors and the City Council, "who is responsible for the neighborhoods", explained Sevilla.

Finally, he indicated that the project is not advanced, but that they will announce new information.

For its part, the mayor wanted to conclude by noting that the City of Cartagena has collaborated with the project "since the minute zero" and said that "together we will be able to continue working on a subject that we had pending was to look at the most disadvantaged and towards the neighborhoods of Cartagena ".
