The Multipurpose Room of the Administrative Building welcomed this morning March 12 the constitution of the Research Commission on the Concession Contract for the Services of Supply of Drinking Water and Sanitation, as well as the giving of accounts of the representatives of the municipal groups of the commission and the appointment of the president, who will be the councilor of Citizens Manuel Antonio Padín.
"I was very clear that the political group that was called to lead this commission was Citizens, precisely to ensure a very good commission of investigation regardless of political disputes," said the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón.
The councilor has indicated that she has also informed the designated members of each party and the new president that there is a commitment to ASEPUCAR so that they can enter the meetings and be given all the information about it.
Likewise, he has expressed his hope that this commission of inquiry will serve to "give an answer" to what it was created for, "which is to clarify those points in which it seems that there are still doubts and that it can be shared with citizens", has added.
He has also explained that this commission of inquiry has a very specific schedule, as well as some deadlines and an object, and has emphasized the importance of fulfilling the object, responding to the plenary session and demonstrating to the citizenship "that most of the political groups of the City Council do not want to make research committees a third degree to anything or anyone," he concluded.
