This Sunday was the traditional pilgrimage of the Virgen del Calvario.
The day began at 8:30 am with the usual recitation of the Rosary, followed by the farewell Eucharist, starting the image of the Virgin around ten in the morning from the Parish of Santiago.
The act was attended by the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, and the mayor of the Education, Culture and Youth area, David Noguera.
The route ran from the Santa Lucía neighborhood to the hospital roundabout, passing by Lo Campano, after which we proceeded to climb a winding and steep path, marked by the Stations of the Cross, until we reached the Excavation of the Shrine of the Ermita del Calvario.
There was an outdoor Eucharist together with a rociero choir.
The singing of arrows to the Virgin was not lacking.
The image was finally sheltered in the hermitage, where it will remain until next year.
Centeneras of people accompanied the Virgin on a festive day, where she enjoyed good weather.
