The third edition of Bach Cartagena, organized by the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena and the Early Music Project platform, has closed its program of activities.
The event can be enjoyed from Friday 16 March to Wednesday 21 of the same month and will allow the public to attend concerts, conferences, workshops and participatory activities around the music of Johann Sebastian Bach.
Although the participatory Cantata is once again the star activity of the project, it is not the only one.
The Bach Cartagena week will be premiered with a workshop on historical interpretation on the 16th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and on March 17 from 10:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the 'Isaac Peral' auditorium of the UPCT, which will involve the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Cartagena and taught by Silvia Márquez.
This is followed by the opening concert at the City of Cartagena on March 17 at 8:30 p.m.
The rhythm does not slow down and, in addition, that same March 17 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. there will be an open rehearsal of the participatory Cantata in the UPCT auditorium, which no one can deny the visit.
The youngest public can also participate and enjoy the children's concert that will take place at the Doña Centenito Library of the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center on March 20 at 6:30 p.m.
The music of the composer will also reach CEIP Vicente Ros on March 20, and CEIP Virginia Perez on March 21.
The music of Bach, considered by many the best composer of all time, will flood every corner of the city through a multitude of activities that will end on March 21, coinciding with the European Day of Early Music (European Day of Early Music).
In this way, on March 21, the conference "Bach and the music of Pergolesi and Vivaldi" will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the Palacio de Molina and, of course, the expected Cantata Participativa, at 9:00 p.m. at the Church of Charity, which will include the IES Juan Sebastián Elcano Choir (Cartagena), the Iuvenis Music Choir (Cartagena), the Argentum Choir (La Unión), the University Choir of Murcia, choir singers from Cartagena and the rest of the Region, and the Orchestra of the University of Murcia directed by Jorge Losana.
These will be the activities in charge of putting an end to one of the most awaited weeks in Cartagena.
