This morning, the Contracting Committee of the City of Cartagena held its last session with the composition that has been maintained over the past years, ie, making the intervention of representatives of the Government, opposition and municipal technicians compatible.
For the next meeting of the Board, when Act 9/2017, of November 8, on Public Sector Contracts comes into force, the composition of the same should change.
Before the imminence in the application of the text, the deputy speaker of MC Cartagena, Isabel Garcia, has censored "another improvisation of the Socialist City Hall, who by complying with their habits, expressly and trampled, will have to approve in the Board of Government the composition of the Table that the Law requires, if, on this occasion, it has the will to adjust to it ".
"Once again, Castejón is overcome by circumstances, leaving for the last moment and, in charge of his inspiration, what has to be done with organization, rigor and technical criteria", lamented the mayor of MC Cartagena.
García has equated "the neglect at the time of complying with the Law with the speed to increase the capacity of spending on minor contracts up to 18,000 euros, a decision perpetrated after expelling us from the Government, despite knowing that the Law lowered this capacity to the 15,000 euros. "
"However, the Socialist Executive did not bother to arbitrate the necessary procedures so that, as of the entry into force of the Law, the City Council can continue to process minor contracts," Isabel García continued.
"Or what is the same," said the deputy spokesman of MC, "use their skills of trileros to contradict the law for just two months to try to distribute as much money as possible at this time." Luckily, the Law will stop them, or at least, it will limit them. "
"We hope that this time the socialist government will comply with the Law and articulate an effective Contracting Committee providing the technicians with the necessary tools, I hope the mayor understands that it is never too late to be amended," García concluded.
