The municipal group announces that it will take questions to the Plenary about the abandonment of the site and about the processing of a wi-fi antenna inside the Regional Park of Calblanque2E

After the report appeared in La Verdad, CTSSP announced that it will take to the next Plenary a series of questions about the Paraje de Los Chaparros, located inside the Regional Park of Calblanque.

The problems of garbage and debris, noise and odors caused by the WWTP and the desalination plant, cracks in the reservoir that pose a danger to homes or the disappearance of protected species, among others, are some of the symptoms that certify the growing deterioration of one of the entrances to Calblanque.

The purple formation, also, has shown his frontal rejection to the project of installation of a wi-fi antenna of 30 meters of height, an irrational plan on which has not been informed nor consulted to the neighbors, that counts on the rejection of collective as Ecologists in Action and that has added additional repairs by the Park Management itself and the technicians of regional administrations.

CTSSP stated that, although it is waiting for the results of the Environmental Impact Statement, it rejects the project for social and environmental reasons, which are included in the July report of last year prepared by the DGMA itself.

Among the reasons stand out the special affection to the Regional Park, the visual visual impact that contradicts the spirit of the PORN and of the good taste in general, the negative consequences on protected flora declared vulnerable, as well as on several species of birds (by risk of collision and electrocution), which would contribute to further degrade an area declared LIC and ZEPIM, and which is part of the Natura 2000 Network. On the other hand, the allegations presented are that there are no alternative locations to the original project, and that it can also be suppose a damage to the health of the population, due to the emission of electromagnetic waves.

Finally, CTSSP has stated that Calblanque needs protection and care of flora and fauna, and not the incentive to be populated by more monsters, something that does not seem to be understood by the current socialist government, which continues to show its double face with the issue of environment: on the one hand they raise the flags of conservationism, on the other they remain silent before the problems of Los Chaparros and they give the approval to the installation of the antenna through a favorable report from the General Directorate of Urbanism.

Although the municipal group has requested that report since January of this year, mysteriously they have not yet been provided by the Government.
