The School of Public Security of the City of Cartagena (ESPAC) imparts between 1 and 22 March a course on "Introduction to copy documents: documentary falsification and intervention with foreign vehicles", in order that the agents acquire the appropriate knowledge to be able to identify the differences between a false document of the real one.
This training action is developed in collaboration with the School of Public Administration Innovation Training (EFIAP) and is part of the 2018 Training Plan for the Local Police of ESPAC.
Due to the number of verifications that are usually carried out daily and the variety of documents used by local police agents, both national and foreign, it is essential to check for the veracity and legitimacy of the different documents with which the agents have to deal with, from driving licenses, ID, passports, vehicle documentation, etc., hence the usefulness of this training action.
The course is thirty hours incorporating active participation techniques in addition to including hours of personal work by students in order to prepare a report that will be proposed to the faculty.
It shows the main security measures of public and official documents and shows the knowledge to be able to detect the most frequent fakes with which agents can be found when requesting documentation.
The agents learn to make an expert report of a doubtful document and how to act with vehicles with foreign registration making special study in the falsification of the driver's license, numbers of frame and false registrations.
Also throughout the course a detailed study of the security measures of documents, manufacturing, printing and personalization, to identify the differences between false and authentic documents, as well as the basic criminal legislation that can be applied in these situations is taught.
