The Regional Confederation of Business Organizations of Cartagena today expressed its support for the demonstration that will take place next Wednesday, March 7, in Madrid, convened by the Circle for Water under the slogan 'In the Levant without water, desert and unemployment.
Defend the garden of Europe! '
From COEC call on companies in the region of Cartagena to join this protest, while showing their "unwavering support" to the agroindustrial sector, whose development pivots precisely on the need to have water guarantees to develop their activity, which is one of the pillars of the economy of the Region of Murcia.
The employers of Cartagena have given to the companies that have associated with them all information related to this event, which will start at 12.00 hours, on Calle Alcalá and will run through the center of Madrid until they reach the headquarters of the Ministry of Agriculture, in front of the station of Atocha, where a concentration and several protest readings will take place on the part of union and agrarian leaders.
In addition, the Central Union of Irrigators of the Tajo-Segura Aqueduct (Scrats) will distribute free 25,000 kilos of fruit and vegetables in the Plaza de Callao, between 10 am and 4 pm, donated by various cooperatives and marketing companies in the southeast of Spain.
