It is integrated into the working table that studies a candidacy of independent parties to the European Parliament in 2019
Last Saturday, MC Cartagena, represented by its secretary general, José López;
the president, Jesús Giménez;
the secretary of organization, Ángel Tarifa;
and the regional coordinator, José María Navarro Cayuela, took part, in Leganés, of the working meeting of the Confederation of independent political parties Tercera Vía, arriving from different parts of the country, and to which the Valencian Federation of Local Parties joined, after its incorporation was approved unanimously.
The proposal to redesign the logo of Tercera Vía, by Ángel Tarifa, was also approved unanimously, which has already begun to be incorporated into the corporate image of the member parties.
On the agenda of the meeting was the debate for the submission of a unified candidature to the European Parliament in 2019. In the medium term, the union would also be addressed for future national elections.
VI edition of the Independent Awards
Previously, on Friday night, MC Cartagena attended the awards ceremony of the VI edition of the Independent Awards, in memory of Marcelino López Hernández.
The gala was held at the Cultural Center 'Rigoberta Menchú' of Leganés and was organized by Union by Leganés-ULEG, independent training that has six councilors in the City Hall of the south of Madrid.
In this year's edition, the journalist Pepa Bueno was recognized with the Independent Award of the Year, collecting the witness of the last winners, Luis del Olmo (2017) and José Ramón de la Morena (2016).
José López presented the award to the Association of Victims of Terrorism.
Vicente del Bosque, José Sacristán, José Mota and the researcher and professor of Economics at the Carlos III University, Irma Clots-Figueras, among others, also received their award.
The awards, already consolidated in national reference, ponder the work, career or character of people and entities that share with their promoter, Union for Leganés, principles based on independence and fighting character.
In previous editions, personalities such as Father Ángel, Ana Garrido (denouncer of Gürtel) and cyclist Carlos Sastre were recognized.
