The social groups of the city will disseminate their activities and encourage the incorporation of collaborators in the First UCAM Volunteer Fair of Cartagena.
The fair was inaugurated this Friday, February 2, at the Plaza de los Héroes de Cavite and is organized by the Ucam.
Their stands have been facilitated by the Institute of Charity and Volunteering of the Catholic University, where 32 entities have been installed, which can be visited until Sunday, March 4.
The inauguration was attended by the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, the councilor for Culture, Education and Youth, David Martínez, the president of the Catholic University of San Antonio, José Luis Mendoza, the Vicario Episcopal, José Abellán, together with other authorities among which was the General Director of Women, Alicia Barquero Sánchez.
The mayor of Cartagena has welcomed the president of the UCAM and has expressed his desire that this fair is only the first of many upcoming events.
For the organization of this event the councils of Youth and Social Services of the City of Cartagena, Amavis Residences, Hotel Los Habaneros, Practiser and the Port Authority have collaborated.
In addition, the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, will attend on March 2 at the opening of this fair, along with the Councilor for Culture, Education and Youth, David Martinez.
In the sample will participate organizations such as Caritas, Red Cross, ASTUS, ASIDO, Mundi Masters, Rascasa, APANDA, Phone of Hope, APICES, Messengers of Peace, Food Bank, Hospitality of Lourdes, FADE, Murcia Acoge and Spanish Association Against Cancer, as well as the Associations of aid and research of personality disorders, Alzheimer's, Multiple Sclerosis of Cartagena and Shire, together with those of Asperger, that of people with autism spectrum disorder of Murcia.
Also present in this exhibition are the Marraja Foundation, the social work of the Cofradia California, Charity Association 'San Vicente de Paúl', CUSTODIRE, EducoYa, the Salesian Community of Cartagena, the Inclusive Leisure Service Foundation of Cartagena and the region, the Project Abraham, Little Sisters of the Poor, pro-disabled Foundation of the National Police Force, the Municipal Volunteer Plan and the Volunteer Service of the UCAM itself, which has agreements with a large number of these entities and intends to extend the rest of the groups to encourage voluntary action among their students.

The Catholic University organizes this event in Héroes de Cavite, from March 2 to 4, so that the social groups of the city can spread their activities and encourage the incorporation of collaborators. The opening hours will be Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. 2 pm and 5 pm to 8:30 pm, while Sunday will open from 10 am to 1 pm.
