The Department of Public Services has unlocked the 11 works that had been paralyzed at the end of 2017. These are actions that had been initiated in the previous year, within the program of financially sustainable investments, which, not being completed at the end of 2017, the budgetary regulation forces to paralyze until liquidating the budget.
Councilman Juan Pedro Torralba recalled that "in just two months we managed to unlock almost all of the 2017 Participatory Budgets that were pending execution, the paralyzed works of the chapter of financially sustainable investments and those that were waiting to be executed by Esamur. "
Treasury has already given its approval and has authorized the unblocking of the budget items necessary to resume the following works:

In this sense, Torralba has indicated that "we are going to immediately contact the contractors so they can resume the works with the aim of having them completed as soon as possible, since they are actions that were already very advanced".
Juan Paredes Square of La Azohía
It should be noted that the restart of the works of the Juan Paredes de La Azohía square has also been given the green light, once the initial project has been modified to include the demands of the residents of the area, who claimed to reduce the landscaped areas for to be able to expand the paved space in which to carry out activities.
The Consistory has taken advantage of these two months in which the previous accounting year has been closed to draft the new project endorsed by the neighbors.
Commission of Citizen Participation
The councilor explained that, "despite not having yet the Budget of 2018 approved, municipal technicians have already visited the 27 works chosen by the neighbors in the project of Participatory Budgets this year."
In fact, at today's meeting of the Commission for Citizen Participation, Torralba has informed the political groups that the drafting work of the Participatory Budgeting projects of 2018 is already underway.
The idea is to have all the projects completed so that, as soon as the 2018 Municipal Budget is ready, they can be tendered and executed before the end of the year.
Each of these works will have an identification sign, which will describe not only the denomination and investment but also the execution period and number of votes of the neighbors.
