Cartagena Port of Cultures together with the Roman Theater presents a wide schedule of routes for Holy Week and the San José Bridge.
During the month of March you can experience the story in different ways so that the visit to Cartagena becomes an experience adapted to all tastes and tastes.
To this end, special routes have been programmed for Holy Week, where pagan and Christian temples will be shown, as well as dramatized routes designed for those who want to approach the story in a friendly and fun way.
On the other hand, weekends continue the routes with flavor, so that at the end of the thematic tours you can taste typical tapas of the city.
The mayor and president of Puerto de Culturas, Ana Belén Castejón, explained that "from the Port of Cultures we bet on our Holy Week, offering our visitors a heritage and cultural offer complementary to that of the brotherhoods.
In addition, they are activities for the whole family because we do not forget the little ones ".
Temples and Theater: between the pagan and the divine.
Guided route
This new route will take place during Holy Week, visiting Roman pagan temples dedicated to the most important gods of Greco-Roman mythology.
And for the first time you will visit picturesque corners like Rincon de la Soledad, until you reach the Church of Santa María de Gracia, the emblematic church of the Holy Week in Cartagena.
The route will end in Barrio del Foro knowing the magnificent building where sacred banquets related to the Sanctuary of Isis were held.
Route: Roman Theater Museum, Soledad Alley, Santa Maria de Gracia and Forum Neighborhood.

Temples, Goddesses and Much Theater.
Dramatized route
From the hand of a Roman citizen a route will be made in which the great buildings of the time will be shown.
He will begin his journey in the Barrio del Foro, where the Temple of Isis is located, to seek the protection of the goddess.
Augusto will be invoked in his temple and we will arrive at the abode of art and spectacles, the great Roman Theater to enjoy a final performance.

After the great reception and the good satisfaction of the delicious combination between history and gastronomy, the routes will continue with flavor every weekend of March.
Cartagena Three Cultures.
Guided route with flavor
This route will reveal medieval history and the confluence of the three cultures, Christian, Jewish and Muslim.
It will start at the Panoramic Elevator, arriving at the Castillo de la Concepción, from where the whole city can be seen.
The visit will continue along the Church of Santa María la Mayor until you reach the Museum of the Roman Theater.
The route ends with the tasting of a typical tapa of Jewish or Muslim cuisine.

A route where life in a city of the Roman Empire will be known, starting with a visit to the Roman Theater Museum.
We will discover how the citizens of the Thermal Baths enjoyed and the luxurious banquets dedicated to the goddess Isis in the Barrio del Foro Romano.
At the end of the route, you can taste a dish inspired by the Roman cuisine of Apicius' book.
