Between seven this morning and ten at night the popular besapié al Cristo de Medinaceli is being celebrated in the Church of Santa María de Gracia.
In the presence of dozens of citizens queuing to enter the temple, as usual, the Local Police of Cartagena warns that there may be traffic jams in Calle del Aire, recommending drivers to exercise extreme caution.
To facilitate the participation of people with reduced mobility in this traditional event, which in Cartagena and more specifically in the bosom of the Marraja brotherhood traces its origins to 1933, the City of Cartagena has momentarily moved the access ramp of the Consistorial Palace to the Church of Santa María, at the request of the religious group itself.
