Today, Thursday, March 1, the registration period for the Infantile Schools of Cartagena is opened next year 2018/2019, which this year is 10, since in the current course the Center located in La Palma has been incorporated into the municipal network.
This has been announced in the Reception Hall of the Consistorial Palace Councilor of the area of ​​Education, Culture and Youth, David Martínez Noguera, who noted that this has been possible thanks to the "budget effort of the City Council and the professionals appointed in the aforementioned nursery school and administration staff of the nursery school unit ".
Martinez explained that since his team is in the government "are reducing the amounts of schooling and dining services progressively."
In this way, six sections have been established in which families are classified according to per capita income.
In the first section families will have to pay for the schooling service 15.75 euros and for the dining room, 22 euros;
while those in the second tranche will pay 31.50 and 30.80 euros;
those of the third tranche 52.50 and 52.80 euros;
those of room 68 and 66 euros;
those of the fifth 84 and 88 euros;
and those of the sixth 105 and 88 euros.
Also, the mayor has indicated that the amount will be free for certain students derived from the area of ​​Social Services and Equality.
Martínez has indicated that in the Municipal Children's Schools have a total of approximately 806 places for children between 4 months and 3 years of age.
"This total may fluctuate in some place due to the ratios we have established in our centers."
Likewise, it has announced that they foresee that 320 students will continue in the centers and that approximately 486 children will be enrolled.
The ratios are from 4 to 12 months of 7 students, from 1 to 2 years 12 students and from 2 to 3 years 19 students.
As for the calendar for the 2018/2019 academic year, the submission of applications for transfers will be from March 1 to 9, the presentation of requests for renewal of places and requests for price-rate subsidies from March 1 to 16 and the submission of new entry applications and requests for price-rate subsidies from March 1 to April 4.
In addition, the rectification of applications will take place from April 5 to 14, the publication of the provisional list of admitted and provisional list of prices on May 22, claims from May 23 to 29, the publication of the final list of admitted students and the final list of the price list on June 8 and the formalization of registration from June 11 to 22.
School hours from October to June will be from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, including lunch and nap service, although the centers will remain open from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm so that families can adapt according to their needs.
In July the schedule will undergo a small modification and the centers will remain open from 7:30 to 15 hours.
The mayor recalled that schools also educate children with special educational needs, thanks to the support of the Educational Guidance and Psychopedagogical Team of Early Care.
He also indicated that the centers have their own kitchen services and prepare children's meals in the centers.
Finally, he said that by making a phone call to any of the municipal centers, a prior appointment can be arranged to visit them and meet their staff, who are teachers and educators with a specific degree in early childhood education.
