The students of the ESO of the IES Galileo of Pozo Estrecho received, on Monday, February 26, the visit of the ultamaratón Andrés Lledó corridor.
The activity was organized by the ADE Program, of the Department of Sports.
The students had the opportunity to interact with the athlete from Cartagena and to know, first hand, part of his career, as well as the challenges he has made in long distance tests, throughout the five continents.
Lledó has participated in the most extreme races in the world such as: the Jungle Marathon (Brazil), the Antarctic, the Arctic, the deserts of Atacama and Chile, or Namibia.
The students showed great attention and interest to the explanations of the athlete.
The boys asked about the situations experienced in this type of tests.
They were also interested in food as well as their physical and mental preparation to overcome all these tests.
One of the highlights of the meeting with the students was when the athlete highlighted the values ​​that have led him to perform this sport such as: effort, overcoming, sacrifice and have led him to propose challenges in life to achieve them .
At the meeting JimboFesh Challenges were also exposed as the Path of the Conquerors.
A personal challenge that the athlete made in Costa Rica and that made him travel from the Pacific to the Atlantic, from coast to coast.
A test of more than 400 km.
The images of the Amazon jungle, the deserts of land and ice, accompanied the talk.
With the visit of Andrés Lledó the students of IES Galileo lived a special and different day thanks to the ADE Program.
The program is organized by the Department of Sports and has the collaboration of the Official College of Graduates in Physical Education and Sport of the Region of Murcia.
