The Auditorium El Batel hosts on Thursday, March 1, the V Extraordinary Concert of the 'Between Strings and Metals' contest, organized by the Youth Council of the City of Cartagena and the Conservatory of Music of Cartagena.
As prior to this concert, several schools of the municipality will be present this Wednesday, February 28, the general rehearsal that the orchestra performs.
In addition, at 11:00 a press pass will be held at the Auditorium of the Conservatory of Music of Cartagena (Jorge Juan street).

It is a unique opportunity to talk with musicians such as brothers Emilio and Álvaro Yepes, two authentic double bass virtuosos and soloists that 'Entre Cuerdas y Metales' has the luxury of recovering.
Both have a very successful career at national and international level.
CAREER PATH
Both Emilio and Álvaro, once they finished their studies at the Conservatory of Music of Cartagena, continued their training at the Reina Sofia School of Music.
Emilio Yepes was named Outstanding Student in 2003 and completed his training in Berlin.
This Cartagena has played with the most important orchestras and groups, as well as with directors such as Daniel Barenboim and Claudio Abbado.
Emilio Yepes has recorded for SONY and premiered works with great success.
Since 2008 he is part of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra.
Álvaro was awarded as the Most Outstanding Student of the Double Bass Chair by Queen Sofia in 2007. That same year he was admitted to the Hans Eisler Higher School of Music in Berlin.
Like his brother, Álvaro Yepes has played in many orchestras, such as the Freixenet Orchestra, Jeunesses Musicales World Orchestra or the European Union Youth Orchestra.
He currently works as a freelance throughout the European geography.
In addition to these two virtuosos of the double bass, journalists will be able to interview the director of this V Extraordinary Concert of 'Entre Cuerdas y Metales', Leonardo Martínez Cayuelas.
