Given what happened today in the town hall with the expulsion of José López by the mayor Ana Belén Castejón, our group issues the following statement:
As public representatives we owe a respect to the citizenship that has voted for us, the same one that wants to see that they chose us to work for the general interest, not to see us involved in continuous disputes between political groups and between councilors, as if from a courtyard of school will be
Our group does not approve the lack of respect or the provocations among councilors of the corporation, mainly because those who are being disrespected are the neighbors of Cartagena.
We understand that good arguments accompanied by expletives and disqualifications cease to have all truth.
However, moderating arbitrarily and treating groups unequally by the president of the plenary can also add tension to the smooth running of the plenary, which has been seen in this and other previous plenary sessions.
Each political group and councilor and councilor will have to respond to citizens with their behavior and their work, at the same time that citizens will judge them for their work for the welfare of all, for that they chose us and not to see mounted "a circus" in each municipal plenary.
