The Neighborhood Association of La Magdalena promotes, with the collaboration of the City of Cartagena has presented, presented on Monday, February 26, the trophy the 2nd edition of the Children's Drawing and Murals 'Trinidad García' 2017/2018, whose theme this year will be 'Our field'.
On this occasion, the municipality of Fuente Álamo is also added and it is expected that the participation of the previous contest will be surpassed, in which 20 public and organized Cartagena schools attended and more than 800 children presented their work.
The delegate councilor of Education, Culture and Equality of the City of Cartagena, David Martinez, has attended the presentation of this trophy, a digitized sculpture, scanned in 3D, and made with polymers, made by printer in the UPCT.
The figure represents a scops owl, a bird representative of the area, which is in danger of extinction.
Martinez has described the contest as "a great idea" and has opted to continue supporting it and continue "growing to grow other municipalities in the Campo de Cartagena in future editions."
The contest will be developed during the next months, and can be presented until May 31, when the delivery deadline ends.
The drawings or murals must include some characteristic motif of the Region of Cartagena as: fruit trees or native fauna and flora, livestock, types of crops and crafts typical of the place, representative architectural elements or identifiable places or landscapes of special interest .
There will be prizes for all categories, and will consist of trophies and diplomas, laptops, tablets, briefcases and easels of paint, materials for handicrafts, portable sound equipment and transportation for an excursion.
