- Cs announces a communication campaign to explain to society its project for apolitical administrative regionalization of the Region
The coordinator of the Agrupación de Ciudadanos in Cartagena, Emilio Rodríguez, the local spokesperson for Ciudadanos, Manuel Padín, as spokesman and secretary of the Association and the councilors, Alfredo Nieto, as logistics manager, and Ana Rama, as municipal liaison, shared yesterday with the affiliates the balance of the last months of municipal management.
Dozens of people attended one of the rooms of a well-known downtown location to attend this meeting in which, after the approval of the previous act, the status of the accounts of the Association was given, of the report requesting corporate and promotional material , of the development of a communicative action consisting in the design of triptychs to explain to the citizens of Cartagena the Cs project to promote the administrative comarcalisation of the Autonomous Community and the current situation of the Government of Cartagena.
Emilio Rodríguez welcomed the members and thanked the Citizens Assembly for their attendance, followed by Manuel Padín, as secretary and spokesman of the Association, who said he was very proud of the party structure in Cartagena, " there is a real flood of new affiliations and this large citizen family that wants a better future for Cartagena grows exponentially. "
Padín described as "disaster" and "chaos" the political situation that has lived the City of Cartagena in recent months, "we have witnessed an ideological war that has never taken into account the general interest of Cartagena but the partisan strategy, a egos fight full of tripping and betrayal that has paralyzed the municipality, has ignored multiple plenary mandates and disabled the work of the neighborhood councils.
The spokesman of the Association said that "the goal of Citizens has been to provide governance, without us, probably would not have gone ahead municipal budgets of 2016 and 2017, and this City Council would continue to intervene, we are not supporting the PSOE and previously battered coalition with MC, we are protecting the people of Cartagena ".
Regarding the accounts of 2018, Manuel Padín recalled that "before sitting down to negotiate the next budgets, we want the Government of Cartagena to guarantee us, with deadlines and items, that each and every one of the amendments that we present in 2017 are going to execute (among others, the works in Torres Park, the pedestrianization of access to the Santa Lucía Hospital, the conditioning of Beatas Street and annexes, or the completion of works in the CATAD), that many of the plenary agreements promoted by us they will carry out (such as the conditioning for sports facilities of a plot in Miranda, or the opening of the Study Class of El Algar), and that this year will begin the strategic plan for employment, and the tourism plan. "
Only when this is guaranteed, will it be time to make new amendments and negotiate, "I can tell you that the shock plan to reactivate the Gisbert Market will be one of them, but I can also assure you that we will ensure that the Plan of Districts and Districts have sufficient investment power to revitalize the most degraded and abandoned areas of Cartagena, such as the neighborhoods of Santa Lucía, Los Mateos, Las Seiscientas, San Antón or La Concepción, and the councils that need it the most ".
Padín also pointed out that the descent of the water will have to be a reality, "until we see the discount on the receipt we will not be completely satisfied, for now, what we know is that the new rates have been sent to the Regional Price Board and apparently with all the guarantees we demand in our 2017 agreement. "
Manuel Padín said that Citizens will be inflexible with these demands, "that no one will be surprised if we do not support the next municipal budgets, we have to comply with everything we ask for, and I care little about the veiled threats that have come to us lately if we do not I have a very calm conscience, because this Group has already been the factor of economic stability for two years, but for us to continue doing so, the Government has to comply. "
Administrative localization
The Board of the Association announced to the members that a communication campaign is being prepared, through the elaboration of triptychs and other actions, to explain to the Cartagena society the Citizens project to promote the realization of a study on the administrative comarcalisation of the Region of Murcia, that entails the constitution of a technical commission integrated by entities and professionals of recognized prestige and capacity.
Citizens expected to distribute these triptychs soon through informational tents in the streets of Cartagena to explain to neighbors, among other things, that the provincial councils have been for years real political bars where, basically, they have placed those members of the parties politicians with whom we did not know what to do, and have become absolute nests of corruption, a waste of public money, an excuse to generate new unnecessary political positions of doubtful usefulness for Spaniards.
Citizens bet on a Region that does not suppose neither the creation of new positions or political structures nor generates duplicities or superfluous and unnecessary expenses.
For Citizens, the decentralizing legal figure that could suppose an authentic optimization of public resources for Cartagena is the region.
"We would achieve greater solidarity and territorial balance in the Region of Murcia, would be a depoliticized management and coordination tool to gain efficiency in the use of local public resources, and would entail significant savings for the municipalities that were part, through the commonwealth of services and the creation of a purchasing center, which in turn would allow them to free up funds to invest in what is really needed: increase investments in strategic infrastructures, social assistance, education, or health, "said Manuel Padín.
Lhicarsa and transitory rules on requests and questions
All those present had the opportunity to ask, resolve their doubts, make suggestions to improve the team's action.
One of the points of the day that attracted the most attention during the requests and questions was related to the latest news in the media about the cleaning service concessionaire, Lhicarsa, and about the imminent approval of the transitory rules to reactivate the urban projects in the center of the city and the industrial extensions in Escombreras.
The secretary of the Association, Manuel Padín, reported that the Municipal Group of Citizens claimed through a motion to the mayor of Cartagena to convene as soon as possible a Board of Spokespersons extraordinary to clarify all the shadows that exist in relation to the cleaning contract , the second most important contract that the City Council has with a concessionaire.
Manuel Padín also explained that for the next ordinary plenary session an initiative has been registered to propose the constitution of a Research Commission on Lhicarsa, "we have always said, the City Council must monitor and control every euro, and evaluate each service offered by our concessionaires. so that they are as effective and profitable as possible. "
On the transitory norms, Manuel Padín, explained that both businessmen and citizens are satisfied with the imminent release of the transitory rules to face the paralysis that has led to the annulment of the General Plan of Urban Planning in Cartagena.
"The mayor of Cartagena informed us this week in the Board of Spokesmen that the rules are expected to be firm and apply in two months, and from Citizens we believe that will be a" revulsive "for the municipality, not only because of the reactivation of many industrial projects and the construction of houses in the urban center, but also because hundreds of jobs will be generated ".
Despite this satisfaction, the spokesman recalled that Citizens has demanded more "speed" in this process to give legal coverage to the expansion of the business fabric and for the construction of some 600 new homes, "we are talking about 130 million euros that are waiting for the completion of these procedures to be able to boost the economy of the municipality.
