Lebanese violinist Ara Malikian has sold out tickets for his concert on Saturday February 24 at the El Batel Municipal Auditorium, part of his tour 'The incredible story of the Violin'.
The concert, which will start at 9:30 pm, sold out its entries months ago.
In this show, Malikian will perform both pieces of his authorship as the Genoese violinist Niccolò Paganini.
Without ever stopping playing, Ara Malikian combines his songs with jumps and turns making his concerts a spectacle for the five senses;
it is the antithesis of the orthodox violinist.
Ara Malikian plays the violin like a virtuoso, but he looks like a rock star.
He has taught his audience that music does not understand protocols or rigidity because there are no compartments, but one can jump from one side to another.
BIOGRAPHY
At the age of 12, he gave his first concert and, at 14, when the conductor Hans Herbert-Jöris listened to him, he got the German government to give him a scholarship at the Hochshule für Musik und Theater Hannover, which led him to be the student younger.
He completed his studies in London and, for more than 17 years, lives in Madrid.
After two intense years of tour in which Malikian desgranó his vital and musical biography, now it is the violin that inspires to this musician a new repertoire collected in the disc 'The incredible history of Violin'.
His instrument was born in Modena and traveled to Lebanon to meet a small Ara of three years, which his father, also a violinist, taught to play, and which would not be separated.
