The Polytechnic of Cartagena occupies the eleventh and twelfth positions in the rankings of leadership in excellence of scientific publications and in patent applications
The report on universities that the Knowledge and Development Foundation (CID) made public yesterday shows that the Polytechnic of Cartagena (UPCT) is the fifth Spanish university with a higher percentage of professors participating in public-private collaboration R & D projects financed between 2012 and 2016 by the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI), making the universities of the Region of Murcia top this ranking.
The research of the Polytechnic of Cartagena also excels in the field of patents, being the twelfth with greater applications for registration in the decade 2006-2015 and the eleventh in the ranking of leadership in excellence for scientific publications.

2017 'also reflects that the UPCT has a more stable teaching staff than that of all the universities, with 78.3% of the teaching and research staff being hired full-time, ten points above the state and regional average. .
