The Municipal Auditorium El Batel has hosted the inauguration of Itínere today, February 22, a day of dynamisation aimed at preventing inactivity and youth unemployment, bringing young people closer to the business and employment reality of the region.

The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, attended the inauguration;

the councilor of the area of ​​Culture, Education and Youth, David Martínez;

as well as the general director of the Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF), Alejandro Zamora;

and the director of the Institute of Youth of Murcia, Francisco Sánchez.

The mayor has emphasized the "great capacity" that has been during these second days, which involved companies, institutions agencies and directorates of the Autonomous Community to "serve and guide the 1,245 young people who have enrolled in the Web page".

Also, the councilor has indicated that those registered between 16 and 30 years in the Youth Guarantee System of Cartagena have amounted to 5,000.

"All this type of actions are aimed at giving visibility to the main objective, which is that young unemployed people see that something very fat is happening in El Batel," he added.

He has also indicated that another of the main objectives of Itínere is that "to the extent of our possibilities, no young person from Cartagena of these ages remain without knowing what is the itinerary to follow and which is the best possible way", he indicated, At the same time, he has emphasized the importance of "being able to give young people the tools to adapt to the new, highly competitive labor market with which they will find themselves".

For his part, the Councilor for Culture has stressed the importance of young people to know the Department of Youth, and know that from there they will "help you find a job."

"We have the Employment Space within the council and we have worked a lot so that these days help to find a job or in this way have the necessary help to improve their training," he concluded.
