The Board of Brotherhoods of the Holy Week in Cartagena, in collaboration with the City of Cartagena, has convened the Poster Contest of the Holy Week in Cartagena for the year 2019.
Any person of legal age may participate in it, regardless of their residence and nationality.
The works must be unpublished and the theme will be necessarily the Grouping of the Capture, holder of the Pontifical, Royal and Illustrious Brotherhood of Our Father Jesus in the Painful Step of the Prendimiento and Hope of the Salvation of the Souls (Cofradía California), that crosses the streets of the city on the night of Holy Wednesday.
Participants may submit an unlimited number of works.
Any artistic technique can be used either photography, painting or any other graphic expression discipline.
There are also no limits in the use of colors or methods, except for fluorescent colors.
The works will be presented on 5mm thick foam without any additional framing.
The layout of the work is free, while its size must be 50x70cm, and the proportion of the work must be maintained with respect to these dimensions in the electronic format.
Participants must submit magnetic files (CD, DVD, USB Memory) JPEG or TIFF files of the proposed posters, with a minimum digital resolution of 300 dpi.
The originals, without signature or pseudonym, will have a motto or title written on the back and will be duly wrapped at the time of presentation, delivery or delivery.
The term of admission of works begins from the publication of the bases in the official web of the City council of Cartagena and will finalize of non-extendable form the 27 of September of 2018 at 13:30 H.
The works will be presented or sent to the City of Cartagena at the dependencies of the Department of Culture in the Cultural Center "Ramón Alonso Luzzy", located at Jacinto Benavente 7 - 30203 Cartagena Street, from 10 am to 1:30 pm.
The prize will be endowed with 1,500 euros.
The jury will be composed of the president and secretary of the Board of Brotherhoods, five representatives of the Cofradía California and two representatives of the councils of Culture and Tourism of the City of Cartagena.
