On the afternoon of yesterday it was learned that the mayor had convened an Extraordinary Government Board for this morning, whose first item on the agenda is: "Correction and subsequent validation of the agreement of the Local Government Board of December 29, 2017 , approval of new potable water rates, fees for the authorization of connections and sewage services and wastewater treatment and service and meter maintenance fees for the 2018 fiscal year, and acceptance of the documentation submitted by Hidrogea, which confirms the referred agreement. "
Surprisingly, at around 3:00 p.m. today, the Municipal Government Office has communicated via e-mail the convocation of an extraordinary Government Board for next Monday, starting at 4:00 p.m., which will deal with this point .
Once again, the absolute contempt of Castejón for the administrative procedures is manifested.
This is a modification of the agreement of December 29, 2017 that Castejón prepared in two days for Hidrogea, against which MC voted for various irregularities and, essentially, because the mayor hid the file.
Before this news, the deputy speaker of the MC Cartagena municipal group, Isabel Garcia, said that "the mayor recognizes that the agreement that we denounced at the time was irregular, talks about rectification and acceptance of new documents of the concessionaire in an agreement that already announced in a press conference with the spokesman of Ciudadanos, Manuel Padín, appearance that a month and a half later it is shown that it was a theater ".
García said that "Castejón ceased to MC and definitively broke the government pact because we denounced the irregularity of the agreement, and now she recognizes it and corrects it with documents from the concessionaire, four days after a judge investigates it. for violation of fundamental rights and without resolving our remedy of reinstatement ".
The representative of the Cartagena training has indicated that "we have already requested access to the record of the Board, but in the absence of knowing the details of the agreement, it is time for Castejón resigns and apologize to all Cartagena and, of course, MC, for having lied, for having betrayed and for working for the concessionaire, as José López said, or is incapable or corrupt, and the whiff of the agreement that he proposes today is to both. "
Isabel Garcia has appealed to the regional PSOE and its leader, Diego Conesa, who has encouraged "to take the bull by the horns and take firm and courageous decisions in defense of the citizens of Cartagena and a credibility that your party no longer has".
In addition, it has required Conesa so that "if 'fixes' Castejón does not resign, cease immediately and return to the path of legality and respect for the pacts, reinstating all the councilors of MC in their functions and powers, and proposing an alternative mayor from among the socialist councilors. "
The MC councilor stressed that "this mayor put the City at the service of the concessionaires seven months ago, has preferred to block municipal management and give away the money of the Cartagena to pester dealers, who knows why shady interests."
"This chapter should be the epitaph of this sad story of incapacities, betrayals and political patronage, led by the PSOE and endorsed by Citizens and the PP, with the sole purpose of preventing MC from recovering millions of euros from Cartagena with a management responsible, "García concluded.
Appeal before the arbitrariness of Ana Belén Castejón
On December 29, 2017, during the session of the Governing Board, the mayor imposed with its quality vote the approval of a water tariff revision agreement, which had been introduced in violation of the rules on the agenda. December 28th.
The councilors of the training Cartagena warned the day before and the same day of the Board of irregularities, requesting that the file be made available to know before voting, which the mayor refused, approving a dossier of more than 40 million euros processed in two days and hidden from the municipal government.
The councilors of MC belonging to the Governing Board, Francisco Calderón, Ricardo Segado and María José Soler, appealed to the Court to recognize this violation of their constitutional right, included in art.
23.1 of the Spanish Constitution, to know the matters on which you have to vote.
At the hearing held on Tuesday, February 6, the judge listened to both parties and the Prosecutor's Office, which acceded to the request of the councilors to investigate the actions of Castejón and the PSOE, the Order was notified on Monday, February 12 .
Specifically, it will be investigated whether Ana Belén Castejón, with her accelerated two-day procedure, the imposition of her agreement and the concealment of the file, has violated this constitutional right.
