This Andalusian opera by Pascual González will gather the passion of Christ in a very "unique and exclusive" way, based on the customs and traditions of the procession and penitentials of the Spanish people.
Regarding the reasons that inspired his new work, Pascual González said a few days ago in an interview that "the most important Holy Week in the world is that of Spain, which has a large number of cities and towns, whose festivities are declared of national tourist interest ".
This cultural, literary and musical project has gone on a national tour through the auditoriums of Spain.
A unique concert, where Los Cantores de Híspalis formed by Pascual González, Juan Luis Calceteiro and Carlos Ruiz, will delve into the Holy Week of Salamanca, accompanied by the performers Diego Benjumea and Álex Hernández, and the composer and arranger Héctor Pérez Cala.
Along with his trusted musicians, a band of cornets and drums, and the Cadiz choir quintet 'La Caleta' by Julio Pardo.
In Cartagena will have the special collaboration of the band of horns and drums Juventud Musical de Hellín.
The artistic language composed for the piece is a confluence of musical language, through the work, given that, within the musical, belongs to the Andalusian opera genre;
the audiovisual, through the high-end videographic production that, on a large screen, is projected throughout the entire work;
and the lyrical, embodied in the narrative that, as a common thread, links different musical passages.
