The national research project Infoparticipa delivered on Tuesday, February 13, the awards to the municipalities of the Region that offer information of greater transparency and quality on their websites.
The City of Cartagena has been awarded as the most transparent and participatory along with five other consistories of the community that have obtained this recognition in an event held at the Cultural Center Las Claras, in Murcia.
The Councilor for Sustainable Development, Public Function and Transparency, Francisco Aznar, has been commissioned to collect the distinction and represent the City Council.
In this second edition of the awards of the national project Infoparticipa, carried out by the Autonomous University of Barcelona, ​​in which researchers from the Faculty of Communication of the UMU collaborate and which has the support of the Federation of Municipalities of the Region of Murcia, prizes are awarded to a total of seven municipalities that have obtained the best scores in different categories: six InfoStamps and a special mention.
In addition to Cartagena, the municipalities of Alcantarilla, Lorquí and San Pedro del Pinatar, Águilas and Torres de Cotillas have also obtained the seal of quality that confirms the high degree of transparency of their websites and the promotion of citizen participation.
The City Council of Mula was the one that obtained the special mention.
In this act were present the national coordinators of the project and researchers from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, ​​Amparo Moreno and Marta Corcoy;
as well as the president of the Federation of Municipalities of the Region of Murcia and mayor of Lorquí, Joaquín Hernández Gomariz.
