Nearly a hundred students of CEIP San Fulgencio (Pozo Estrecho) participated this Monday, February 12, in the morning athletics day.
The educational center has participated, one more year, in the ADE Program carried out by the Sports Council, with the collaboration and coordination of the Athletics Club Elcano.
The approach of sport to educational centers of the region of Cartagena, is one of the objectives of the Sports Council that through the ADE Program and other activities.
The first part of the day was held in the classroom, where the students had a meeting with the CA Elcano monitors: Alfredo Castilla, Toñi López, Alberto Ferrer and Blanca Peñuelas.
The students asked questions to know and know more about athletics.
They also wanted to know the experiences lived by the Elcano components, how they prepare, feed and other aspects of athletics.
After the theoretical part, the practical part arrived with the program 'Playing athletics', destined to have an approach to this sport.
With it the students had the opportunity to show their skills and physical aptitude in the tests adapted to the athletics of speed, jumps and throws.
The ADE program is organized by the Department of Sports of the City of Cartagena and the Official College of Graduates in Physical Education and Sports of the Autonomous Community.
