On Wednesday, February 7, the young people belonging to the reading committees of the Intercultural Centers of Los Dolores and Casco Antiguo, of the Immigration Unit of the Department of Social Services of the City of Cartagena, held their second meeting with the author of the Mandarache Prize / Hache 2018, 'Amor Libro', a program belonging to the Youth Council.
On this occasion the book has been 'Show me the eternity ...', by Daniel Hernández Chambers, a disturbing work for young readers for the development of the plot and the central theme of the book: the soul.
Many of the questions the students asked the author centered on this topic, as well as some related to their literary career.
The meeting was enjoyed by 30 young people between the ages of 12 and 16 belonging to the reading committees of the Intercultural Centers.
These guys, after some time working through the shared reading system, as well as participating in spaces for debate and reflection on the book, were able to share their doubts and opinions with the author.
As a finishing touch to the meeting, several young people presented Daniel Hernández with a portrait and, at a group level, they gave him a box made with the cover of his work.
The third and last meeting of this edition will take place on March 14.
