The Robinsons of the Island, the Singuangos, Chirigota de Roquetas, Los Picoesquina, and Los Sangochaos, have been the lucky groups that have passed to the final of the 16th Chirigotas Contest 'Ciudad de Cartagena', which takes place this Friday, 9 February, and that can be seen live, through the website of the City of Cartagena.
The names of the winners met after playing this Thursday, February 8, the second semifinal.
In this phase of the contest they went on stage at the El Batel Auditorium: La Chirigota de Gador, Los Picoesquina, Los Sangochaos, Las que Faltaban, and Chirigota de Roquetas.
The large audience that went to the Municipal Auditorium enjoyed the grotesque rhymes, loaded with good doses of humor from the participants, who made an ironic review of the national and local news.
The art and imagination of these groups had its reward yesterday when the chosen ones were announced to pass to the final.
But also, on the day of the second semifinal, other prizes were awarded among the groups that participated in the contest.
The Carnival Federation of Cartagena recognized Los Sangochaos, as the creators of the best lyrics;
The Robinsons of the Island, as the artifices of the best original music;
The Picoesquina, for having the best staging and also, was recognized with the prize to best disguise the Sangochaos, who appeared on stage as the flamenco dolls that decorated the televisions of yesteryear, of course, his staging was on a TV.
All these groups will receive the prize of 400 euros.
The five groups selected for the final are preparing for the two performances that will take place this Friday night, February 9.
The first pass will be at the El Batel Auditorium at 8:00 p.m. and the second will take place at 11:30 p.m., the latter will be broadcast live on this link on the Cartagena City Council website, through its channel. Youtube.
A video signal will also be offered to the media that is interested in covering or retransmitting the event as well.
The 7 Region of Murcia will include this event in its programming next week.
