The Catholic University will reward the winners with the first enrollment of Nursing, Physiotherapy and Sports Science at the facilities of Los Dolores to the champions of these tests that have been carried out.
A hundred students of Bachiller and FP of 6 educational centers of the Region of Cartagena are participating this morning in the first Scientific Olympiad that the San Antonio Catholic University organizes its Campus of the Cartagena neighborhood of Los Dolores, promoted with the co-financing of the Foundation Seneca and the collaboration of the City of Cartagena.
Students from the Hispania, Maristas and San Vicente de Paul schools in Cartagena, together with those from the Ricardo Ortega institutes of Fuente Álamo and Juan Sebastián El Cano and Hespérides from Cartagena have carried out the tests of the category that they have selected individually from among the three that are offered in this first edition, which are Nursing, Physiotherapy and Sports.
Being able to register for free the first year in each of these Degrees and a tablet are the first prizes of this test that seeks to promote the scientific spirit and reward the effort.
The runners-up will receive a scholarship of 50% of the enrollment of the first year of said degree and a SportCam camera;
and the third classified sports material and 25% of the enrollment of the first course of the race related to the area of ​​the tests that you perform in this competition.
In this way, the UCAM, through the Unit of Scientific Culture and Research of the Catholic University (UCC + i), framed in the Vice-Rectorate of Research, and the Seneca Foundation-Agency of Science and Technology of the Region of Murcia, dependent on the Ministry of Universities of the Autonomous Community, promote with this initiative that young people in the region of Cartagena can take advantage of the latest technologies and other resources that exist in the Campus of Los Dolores to be trained in the Degree in Sciences of the Physical Activity and Sport or in the two aforementioned health careers.
The Olympiad in the Nursing category includes an English test, a biology test and a practical test;
while that of CAFD will consist of an English test, another of anatomy and physiology related to sport along with a test of Physical Education;
being the Physiotherapy Olympiad a test of English, one of anatomy, another of biology and another of physiology.
In addition, a score of Cartagena students participated yesterday in the scientific Olympics that the UCAM held at its campus in Los Jerónimos in the areas of Pharmacy and Polytechnic.
