Twenty-nine schools of the municipality will meet on Thursday, February 8 at the Sports Pavilion of Cartagena for the celebration of the Municipal Phase of Playing Athletics in the youngest category, which is developed within the School Age Sports Program organized by the Department of Sports of the City of Cartagena in collaboration with the General Directorate of Sports of the Region of Murcia.
Each center will participate with a male and a female team.
The centers are the following: the Alumbres, Asdrúbal, Leonardo da Vinci, Santiago Apóstol, Salesians, Adorers, Virgin of Begoña, Marists, Luis Calandre, La Asomada, San Isidro Los Belones, San Isidoro El Algar, Vicente Ros, Garden City, Narval, La Concepción, Fernando Garrido, Virgen del Carmen, Poet Antonio Oliver, Azorín, Virginia Pérez, La Vaguada, Santa Florentina, Aníbal, San Fulgencio, San Antonio Abad, San Cristóbal, Miralmonte and Stella Maris.
The Department of Sports, in collaboration with the Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia, the Athletics Club El Cano and the Athletics Club Cartagena have coordinated a device composed of technicians of the Department of Sports, athletics judges, volunteers TAFAD IES Mediterranean and buses for the displacement of participants and teachers.
The competition will start at 10:00 in the morning and end with the trophies, which will take place at 12:45.
The winning team will represent Cartagena in the regional final to be held in Alcantarilla on March 1.
